Hello, I'm Ben Berrigan. In my 30 years in the global minerals industry, I believe I've witnessed the very best and very worst of performance. In Operations, Capital Projects Delivery, and Business Development. From Australia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Russia to the USA and Canada. What I've learned is no company is immune to the challenges of growth. My passion is providing clients with a path. A path to reaching their growth goals.

I spent over 10 years working as a metallurgist at the Pasminco Rosebery Mine, BHP Olympic Dam Mine, and Pasminco's Port Pirie and Cockle Creek smelters in Australia. In that time I completed 50+ Brownfield improvement projects that supported the continuous production of Pb, Zn, Cu, and Ag.
I was the commissioning manager for the smelter area of the Anglo Platinum ACP Project in South Africa. I managed construction handover, commissioning management, and production ramp up activities for the $700M nickel/platinum smelter located in Rustenburg, South Africa.
I spent almost 13 years at three of the largest engineering firms delivering capital projects ranging from $90M to $460M. I provided Metallurgical Design, Engineering Management, and Project Management for projects located in Serbia (pictured), Turkey, Russia, Finland, Indonesia, and Morocco.
I spent 7 years in dedicated business development roles in the mining and minerals sector with Jacobs, DRA, PwC and Allnorth. In that time, I closed a variety of contracts of various sizes for Study Services, Capital Projects Delivery, and Contracting Engagements.
I provided various support services to mining clients related to debottlenecking of their materials handling and concentrator processes. I also helped the BHP Jansen Operation select digital twin technologies in order to improve their operational NPV.
I worked with a blossoming Canadian Engineering Firm to define its 1 year, 2 year, 5 year and 10 year business goals. I then selected an appropriate growth strategy and created a detailed action plan to deliver the financial, operational, and regional expansion goals over the short, medium, and long term.
